Giratina EX is the 92 card of 124 in the set. it has the new DRAGON type card with with 180 HP Which is normal for the recent EX cards but still extreamly high!
Just like most psycic type cards Giratina EX is week to its own dragon type x2, no resistance and a high retreat cost of 3.
Like all EX pokemon you get 2 prize cards for knocking out Giratina but the attacks make up for the loss. the first attack is shred, for 3 energies (grass, psycic and colorless) it does 90 damage and this attack isnt affected by any effects of the defending pokemon! the second attack is called dragon pulse and for 4 energys (grass, psycic, and 2 colorless) you do 130 damage to your opponent. the only downside is you discard the top 3 cards of your deck so play wisely!
Like all EX cards I love this cards artwork and I love the new dragon type cards! There is a few things I dont like about this card and that is the differnt types of enegys cards it takes to do the attacks. you can deffinatly have a grass, psycic deck but i usually use a solid color deck ( but thats just me!)
As far as strategy goes i would deffinaly use alot of trainer/supports in your deck like a junk arm or even a energy retrival, anything that lets you get cards out of your discard pile because of dragon pulse but other then that this card is pretty strait forward! you can also play is right out because the attack dont make you discard you dont have to worry about charging up this card on you bench!
the rating im giving this card is a B just because the diffent type energys for the attacks and the high retreat cost!
